PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The subject of the project implementation is the purchase of a CNC machining milling and drilling centre for the woodworking industry. The intention of the project is to create conditions for cooperation with the Secondary School in Kežmarok with the help of acquisition of innovative technology. The project will result in the establishment of a CNC workplace in order to increase the quality, efficiency and improve the ecology of the production process in the production cooperative.
Specific objective: 3.3.1 Increasing the competitiveness of SMEs in the development phase
The implementation of the project will lead to the fulfilment of the measurable indicators:
- P0091 Increase in employment in supported enterprises: 1,
- P0284 Number of enterprises receiving grants: 1,
- P0760 Number of processes innovated: 1,
- P0869 Number of newly created jobs occupied by people from disadvantaged social groups: 1.
The implementation of the project will enable the innovation of the existing production CNC-controlled solid wood machining process, which will enable the cooperative to achieve an increase in quality, speed, efficiency and flexibility in the production process with regard to sustainable development and environmental protection. The innovation of the production process will result in the creation of new products, namely the production lines of beds and dining tables. The introduction of innovative technology will thus have a positive impact on the economic results of the cooperative, which will allow further investment in its development, increasing competitiveness with a possible multiplier effect on companies of a similar but also different focus. By implementing the project, the cooperative will strengthen its efficient system for the production of solid furniture of the highest possible European quality required in the furniture market. As a result of the implementation of the project, there will be a significant transfer of information and practice of students of the Secondary Vocational School in Kežmarok in the form of dual education in the prospective sector of carpentry production. Students in the study field: carpenter will have the opportunity to learn the procedures in the production of high-quality furniture made of solid wood.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The subject of the project implementation is the purchase of one piece of CNC machining milling and drilling centre for the woodworking industry, which will be used to implement the innovation of the production process and to launch new products on the market. The main objective of the project is to increase the competitiveness of SMEs in the development phase.
Specific objectives of the project:
- to launch 5 new products on the market,
- innovate the production process,
- to increase the technological level of production with positive effects on increasing the quality of production, the efficiency of the production process, the subsequent sales with a positive impact on the growth of sales and profits,
- create 1 new job,
- acquire new customers and boost sales in existing and new markets,
- support the valorisation of the Slovak raw material base, including a responsible approach to the renewal of raw material resources. The project will be implemented under one main activity called "Development of existing SME".
As a direct result of the project implementation, a modern 5-axis CNC machine will be purchased and put into production, which will create conditions for the company to design and manufacture completely new products. The production process will be innovated with a parallel reduction of manual machining of products and the production process will be automated. The project represents a significant innovative change in the company, and the investment is key to the necessary strengthening of the company's position in existing markets. The company's strategy is to serve more demanding customer segments with modern and high-quality furniture, with an emphasis on the environmental friendliness of the products, the production itself and the cooperative's responsible approach to the restoration of natural resources in Slovakia. The impact of the project will significantly contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the enterprise on the domestic - Slovak, as well as on foreign markets. The project will also create conditions for new acquisitions in new markets, whether in the EU or to the east of Slovakia.
The primary outputs of the project will be:
- expansion of the cooperative's product portfolio with new high-quality products,
- improvement and streamlining of the production process,
- increasing product quality,
- significant innovation in the production process, with positive technological and economic impacts,
- The CNC machine will replace manual production on conventional joinery machines, thus reducing, for example, the number of rejects,
- creation of 1 new job for a person disadvantaged on the labour market.
The project is immediately feasible in terms of time, environmental, technical and financial aspects in case of co-financing from EU funds. It represents a new modernization trend in the JAVORINA enterprise, production cooperative, with significant innovation activities and outputs of the production process.
